Are helmets included with the rental?
Yes, helmets are included with every rental at no additional charge.
How far is Friday Harbor from the ferry landing?
All ferries bound for San Juan island dock in Friday Harbor. We are located two short blocks from the ferry landing; well within easy walking distance.
What should I wear when I rent bikes?
Wear comfortable clothing, closed-toe shoes, and layers appropriate for San Juan Island’s variable weather.
How late can I return my rental?
Bike rentals can be returned as late as 9pm any day of the week in Friday Harbor. The evening return process is easy and not a cause for concern.
What should I do if I encounter a problem with the bicycle?
We offer 24hr roadside assitance for all of our rental bikes that are on San Juan Island. If you are off San Juan Island give us a call anyway and we will try to assist.
Is it necessary to make a reservation?
San Juan Island bike rentals are very popular; We always welcome walk-in rentals, however our fleet of bikes book out frequently during our peak season of June – August, and because of this we highly recommend a reservation.
Do you deliver?
We are not currently delivering rental bikes. But we hope to start again in the future. San Juan is small and Friday Harbor is not far away, come see us!
What Accessories are available with my bicycle rental?
We have a wide range of accessories available for every rental at no cost! If you need something specific for your san juan island bicycle trip just ask!
Can my child ride an eBike?
You, as the parent are the best gauge of your childs ability to safely navigate the streets with an ebike. Our smallest ebike will fit a 4’10” rider.
What types of bicycles can I rent?
We offer a variety of bicycles including electric assist bikes, road bikes, and hybrid models to suit all of your cycling needs. Step-thru rental bikes are available in some models. Check out our rental bikes here
How long can I rent a bike?
Our bikes are rented by the calendar day and can be booked for multiple days. For ebikes we include a charger for multi-day rentals.
Can we take your bikes off San Juan island?
Yes. We encourage exploring the whole archepelago by bicycle. Consider each destination as whole day adventure due to the ferry schedule, which can be found here.
Do you have maps available for renters?
Absolutely. We have paper maps in the Friday Harbor shop. We also have a routes page for general ideas that can be found here.
I am renting an ebike overnight, do you provide a charger?
Yes. You will want to recharge your bike overnight, it takes about 1 hour per 20% of the battery.
